Menstrual Hygiene Day (MH Day) was created by the nonprofit organization WASH United in 2013 to promote menstrual health and hygiene for all. MH Day falls on May 28 each year, the date representing the average length of a period (5 days) and menstrual cycle (28 days).
Aligned with the day's mission, Always and P&G have been major supporters of WASH and MH Day for the last six years, using their resources and reach to encourage everyone to break the taboos and end the stigma surrounding menstruation, and help fight to end period poverty.
Globally, Always provides critical puberty and period education to millions, in addition to working to tackle period stigma and help #EndPeriodPoverty - with over 235 million products donated to-date.
Our shared goal? To help build a world where no one is held back because they menstruate by 2030.
